Comic Book Haul Friday – 31 March 2013

Here’s my Comic Book Haul Post for Comic Book Haul Friday.

So, another pretty impressive week for me, especially with next week set to be filled even more titles. There are loads of awesome series that were released this week, but for the first time in a couple of weeks, I had to wait until Friday to get the comics rather than diving straight in on a Wednesday. Now that I’ve finished reading these comics, I’ve decided that it might be a good idea to put a post together, especially as I posted a picture on twitter a while back.

The Pick of the Week for me is X-Men #1, although it was a very close tie between this and The Wake #1, and All New X-Men #9 is there because even though I read the issue digitally, I thought I’d pick it up in print because this is probably one of my favourite series at Marvel at the moment – I have the first volume in print and now all I need to do is find a print copy of #8.

    • It was pretty shocking, but its impact is lessened because the issue wasn’t as strong as it could have been, and the fact that the same character has their own ongoing title so it’s fairly certain that it’s not going to be a permanent ending for [name deleted].

      • I agree with your thoughts. Also, if DC wanted to raise some interest around the JLA by “killing” a member of the team, Green Arrow would have been a better choice, because he’s by far the most popular character of that series. Thank you for your reply! : )
