Interested in a radio adaption of Neil Gaiman’s Neverwhere that can currently be found on BBC IPlayer starring James McAvoy and Benedict Cumberbatch among other awesome cast members? Click below to find out more.
Richard Mayhew is a young man with a good heart and an ordinary life, which is changed forever when he stops to help a girl he finds bleeding on a London sidewalk. His small act of kindness propels him into a world he never dreamed existed. There are people who fall through the cracks, and Richard has become one of them. And he must learn to survive in this city of shadows and darkness, monsters and saints, murderers and angels, if he is ever to return to the London that he knew.
Neverwhere stars the following cast: Benedict Cumberbatch (Islington), Door (Natalie Dormer), Hunter (Sophie Okonedo) and Marquis (David Harewood) alongside James McAvoy as Richard Mayhew. I think you’ll agree that that’s a pretty awesome cast, and the adaption that I’m currently listening to on BBC IPlayer is very enjoyable.
Here’s the link to the first episode, London Below: http://www.bbc.co.uk/iplayer/episode/b01r527b/Neil_Gaiman_Neverwhere_London_Below/. I’m currently listening to it having not read the book but am enjoying it a lot so far, which makes a change as I’m not normally a big fan of audio. I don’t know if this will be available forever or whether it’ll be available worldwide or not, but if it is, feel free to let me know so I can update this post with the required details. The second episode is also available on the website.
